The Extent of the Jordanian Commercial Banks Applying the Targeted Cost and Realizing Its Importance: A Case Study of Commercial Banks in Karak Governorate/ Jordan

Abstract
This study aimed to show the extent of applying and importance the target cost approach in Jordanian commercial banks operating in the Karak region. To achieve this goal, an analytical descriptive approach was followed, as a questionnaire was prepared to collect the necessary data from the study sample that reached (50) respondents who were randomly chosen.The results of the analysis showed that there is an effect to understand the cost concept method used by workers in Jordanian commercial banks, as well as, an effect that commercial banks will possess the necessary ingredients to achieve the targeted cost, In addition to the absence of obstaclesfacing commercial banks in Karak Governorate when applying the targeted cost.Based on the results of the study, several recommendations were presented, including: Working to improve the bank's internal system to make it more convenient to manage costs, and encourage the bank’s management to hold special workshops to familiarize employees with the importance of the targeted cost, Moreover, the bank must determine the form of the service and its technical characteristics from the beginning, on specific and clear grounds.
